Time for a clean slate...

In an attempt to start anew and fresh, I've decided to try blogging more regularly. I figured it would be for the best to clear all of the old junk out of here and just begin again.

I've recently been inspired by some weekly post by my boyfriend's sister, Jessica, which really got me motivated to utilize this blogging concept. Each Monday, she posts 3 of her current worries, things she's working on, and things she's thankful for. I thought this was a pretty cool concept. Not only is it nice to get things off your mind and down recored somewhere, but essentially, you are sharing your feelings with everyone. On one hand, that's really scary to think about- should I be sharing this with the world? And on another, its just nice to get things off your chest, and let everyone know what's up. I know personally, I read Jessica's blog (and everyone else's) because I care about her and want to be up to date with her busy life. It also gives me a great opportunity and insight to how I can be there and pray for the people I care about.

So, in conclusion, I really want this blog to be about me and my life, thoughts, and inspirations. The hard part will be getting over the fact that my life is rather monotonous at this point in my life as a college student, and worrying about what other's think of my writings. I don't judge anyone on the content of their blogs- why should I think that everyone's going to judge me?!

  • OK! I'm up to date on everything, now :-) I just finished reading all of your bloggy blogs.

This post meant a lot to me. I guess I don't think TOO much about other people actually reading my journal (I mean, I KNOW there are readers b/c they comment, but I don't write for them; I write for me), much less being inspired by my journal. And I like that you named it Monday Tercets- very fitting.

Oh yay, I'm glad there's an option for e-mailing follow-up comments. I'm going to bookmark this blog so I can follow you more easily :)
